What we collect when you apply

This page covers the founding-access application forms on the Kept Family, Kept Legacy and Trace pages. It describes what those forms collect, and what else the pages load while you read them.

What the form collects

• Your first name and email address, because we cannot reply otherwise.
• Your free-text answer describing what you want to understand or preserve.
• Your answers to the multiple-choice questions: timing, which source you would start with, and what price would feel reasonable.
• Whether you are open to an optional 15-minute conversation.
• Technical context: which page you applied from, any utm_* campaign parameters in the link you followed, the referring page, and how long you spent on the page before submitting.

What the form does not collect

• No files. There is no upload. We do not receive your messages, photographs, emails or recordings at this stage.
• No payment details. There is no payment step anywhere on these pages.
• No account. Applying does not create one.

The forms ask you not to paste private messages, names, medical details or other sensitive information into the free-text box. Please don't — a description of the need is enough, and it keeps this data minimal.

Where it goes

Submissions are received by a form handler we run on Cloudflare Pages and stored in a Cloudflare D1 database we control. Your IP address is not written into that record. They are read by the people building Kept, and are used to decide what to build and whom to contact about founding access. They are not sold, and are not shared with third parties for advertising.

Cookies and tracking

These pages set no cookies and load no third-party tracking scripts. Nothing here follows you to other sites, and nothing is shared with an advertising platform.

We do count page views, on our own servers. Opening one of these pages records that a page of that name was viewed, at that time, with the campaign parameters in the link you followed — and nothing else. There is no cookie and no visitor identifier, so these counts cannot be linked to you, to each other, or to an application you later submit. We keep them for one reason: without knowing how many people read a page, the number who applied means nothing.

Our host also keeps ordinary server logs, as every web host does.

Retention and deletion

Applications are kept for the duration of this research and then deleted. You can ask us to delete yours at any time, and we will confirm when it is done — reply to any message from us, or write to the address below.

Your choices

• The optional-conversation checkbox is genuinely optional; leaving it unticked does not affect your application.
• You can withdraw consent to be contacted at any time.
• You can request a copy of what you submitted, or its deletion.
